Broken Hinge for Inspiron 7567 (Please Fix)

Hello my name is Tom

I accidentally dropped my Inspiron 15 7567 Gaming Laptop at school in the day before yesterday, which is Monday the 22/7. The hinge when it was dropped it broke out very badly, I see visual cracks on the hinge and the rear side which slightly damage the red vent but the hinge itself on the right side, was broken, and I mean seriously broken. The computer is still working though but when I carry with the hinge broken like that creates a ticking sound or something. Can you please find a way to fix the damaged hingeThe Hinge where the rear part breaks (the red part slightly bent)The Hinge where the rear part breaks (the red part slightly bent)The hinge where the computer is place in but its separating because of the crackThe hinge where the computer is place in but its separating because of the crackThe crack which is pretty bad and it got in very deep since it was droppedThe crack which is pretty bad and it got in very deep since it was dropped

Hi, i think you just need to buy the back side vent cover (grey plastic with crack) i see some parts on aliexpress. You can buy and replace it. Can i ask you something, i have the same issue. But i wasn't the one who dropped my laptop, i sent my laptop for warranty services but after they returned it to me. I found the same damage you have. I was demanding for a replacement since it was being mishandle by the dell warranty provider. But they didn't offer me with it they refused and told me that they will just replace the broken parts. A very bad customer experience. My laptop was still in brandnew condition. I took care of it and never it fall down under my care. I feel so frustrated with dell services under jarir bookstore. Now my very concern is would it be causing any hardware failure in the future. Are you having any operational issues after the accident?

The worst day have already come, as you guys read my previous message. That my laptop went to dell warranty service here in Saudi Arabia for webcam repair weeks prior to it's warranty expiration. When i got my laptop back i was in shocked when i saw a big crack on the rear vent case and also a dent on the aluminum vents. They had mishandled my laptop and i requested for them to replace the unit since I was having doubts that this accident may cause issues on the laptop in the future. They took back the laptop and telling me that they will reach to me once they have the answer. They did contact me saying that they will only replace the broken parts and i was asking them to extend the warranty to give assurance that this wont cause in issues in the future but they declined my request. I believed that i have the right to asked them since they were the ones who had mishandled my laptop. So now this day have arrived. My laptop is experiencing display issues. I have no other suspicion of the possible caused since i have taken good care of this laptop since the day i bought this and i barely used this in a year. So, now no one took the responsibility. All they are saying that my laptop in out of warranty. This would have not happen if they had been careful on handling my laptop in the first place or they should be responsible enough to provide another unit. This is very sad and frustrating. Now, i will be just a victim of this incident without any further assistance from dell.

For me no other caused this was the physical damaged it took when it was with dell warranty provider.

Particularly in parts of the world where Dell has no corporate presence (Saudi Arabia is one of these), all warranty support/service/repair is up to your dealer.  If you do not receive support from them, your best bet is to report the issue to your local consumer affairs enforcement office.
