Checking Media presence

I have an Inspiron gaming 5577 it is stuck on checking media presence, no media presence found.

I verified that Windows Boot Manager is the first boot option so that is not the issue.

I cannot get my computer to get passed the BIOS.

Go into Setup - look under Drives.  Is (or are, if there are two) there a drive (or a pair of drives) listed?

Usually when you see this error, it means the boot drive has failed -- run a full system diagnostic (F12 at powerup).  Make sure all USB devices are unplugged from the system (except for a mouse or wireless receiver for a mouse or keyboard before testing).

There you go -- you need a new drive.  There may be just a hard drive, or there may be both a hard drive and a solid state drive of small capacity in the system.  Since you need to replace the hard drive anyway, the fastest option is a native M.2 NVMe drive.  Check inside the system to make sure the required mounting hardware is present.

You can also install a 2.5" SATA drive -- solid state drive or hard drive (latter option only if the budget is extremely tight as it's by far the slowest of the three options).
