CMOS Holder fix

Thanks for the reply but it's definitely broken as it just won't click in anywhere,it possible to use electrical tape or something but that doesn't seem strong enough to hold it

It does not look like you broke anything.

You need to slide the edge of the battery under the lip.

The lip is located "In your picture" on the left hand side near the white triangle.

Slide under the lip then push in.

There should be little tips that will hold the side down opposite the lip.

Cheers ,yea ,I didn't think of that ,that could be an interesting approach.

I've been reading lots of solutions from guitar pick over it ,super glue etc. I'm not sure the tape will be strong enough,

Anyway I'm waiting on a new charger to arrive during the week which I hope will fix my first problem of no AC or charging of battery

Then I will turn my attention to this.

The tips to hold it down are missing.

Yes Etape will work.

Depending on the Base Cover you may be able to put some thing on top of the battery so when you put the Base Cover back on it can help hold it in place.

I have the same issue. Except my batter holder broke and I cannot find a replacement part number.
