Darkblue screen after clean install Windows 10

Inspiron 17R (5737, Mid 2013) laptop.

Laptop was extremely slow. I decided to put in an SSD dic.

Bought Samsung 870EVO disc and installed Windows 10 from USB stick.

All went great. Today installed  some other programs.

All was OK.

Then I left the laptop for a while and upon return I got a dark blue screen (not BSD!)

I could access BIOS and ran Dell diagnostics. Nothing was found.

By shutting down the laptap and restaring with the bootable USB with windows installation I was able to get into troubleshooting. I tried system restore but again blue screen.

I then tried to reïnstall Windows 10 again.

All goes well till about 70% of installation. Again this darkblue screen.

I was stupid not to immediately run Windows Update after the clean install.

Did WUP start as laptop was idle????

But then why is it happening again when I re-install?

Could this be the motherboard?

Wouldn't issues with the motherboard show up in Dell diagnostics???

Could be a bad SSD.

Put back your old hard drive.

Thanks for the suggestion. I may try that later on. BUT: I ran Dell Diagnostics twice and got no mention of problem with the SSD.

Wouldn't diagnostics discover this?

I will get a replacement for the new SSD disc. Will return back here once that is installed.

I had hoped to get more reactions.

I googled a lot about this and stumbled upon an old thread where it was said that some Windows 10 updates could not be installed on the Dell Inspiron 17R 5737. It was said that one should prevent Windows 10 from updating. A thing that has become impossible lately.

This laptop was originaly on Windows 8 and I have always thought that this was the cause for many problems.
