Default Display Adapter Issues
Hi
Just got my laptop from the service center. There was an issue with the hard drive so they replaced it. I bought it last June. It has dual display adapter; Intel Graphics 620 and a video card AMD Radeon 520. Now after the repair, the default display adapter shows "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" . I opened the device manager, looked under display adapter, the Intel Graphics 620 was gone. The AMD Radeon 520 is there and the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. Does that mean the Intel Graphics was replaced? Should I return the laptop to the service center? I want the Intel Graphics 620 back. any advice? Thanks in advance. Cheers!

Hi,
I'm following up to check if you were able to install McAfee antivirus on your system also were you able to install the drivers with the help of the Dell Support Assist application? Message us if you need any assistance.

Hello,
I have bought Laptop DELL Inspiron 3580, Intel Core i7-8565U up to 4.6GHz, 15.6" Full HD, 8GB, SSD 256GB, AMD Radeon 520 2GB.
In the specifications of the laptop on the vendor's site, I have:
- video card: Radeon 520
- graphic processor: Intel UHD Graphics 620
I seem to encounter the same problem as reported in this thread: I have in my Device Manager, under Display Adapter, both Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and Radeon 520. I think my computer under Windows 10 is using Microsoft Adapter and, because of this, I cannot connect with HDMI, for example, on a Monitor.
Can you please tell me what to do? I ran the Dell Support Assist application and installed all drivers; however, I cannot get rid of that Basic Adapter.
Thanks,
Ctin
