Dell 5509 - Extremely unsatisfactory software and Hardware
I face the exact same issue and even more. I now regret purchasing this expensive laptop and for paying extra pennies for other customization etc by Dell, and for opting the brand Dell over other local brands which also has warranty, but I am a fool to trust on reliability and robustness of Dell at least in the hardware compared to other local brands which too has warranty and paid extended warranties.
Finally after long discussions Dell company replaced my wifi card alone(Since my internet connections get disconnected very often even when my router is placed within 5 meters distance and also when my Dell 5509 laptop itself shows four complete blocks of signal out of five blocks), but the issue still persists(I guess it is related to the antenna placed inside my Display housing.
So I replied back to dell saying I need a replacement laptop after having faced this issue and many other issues(Including four times full windows software reset, all because the dell technicians forced me to do when they can’t technically fix the root cause, and even after that those issues still continues and I can’t bear anymore with trials with zero results and taking hours of my time.), all which started off from within just few months after purchase of my DELL 5509 laptop ordered directly from dell. And the technicians as always, for the recent wifi issue speaks very harsh until when they wanted to convince me that it is not the issue with the laptop but with ISP. But the funniest thing is that, when all my other home laptops and phones are not having issues in connecting to the ISP router and in the download speeds. And also the signal it catches is extremely poor compared to other devices kept exactly in the same location. If Dell don't like me to compare with other devices signal catching capability, I would say this laptop 5509 itself was catching good signals in the range of 30 Mbps and now catching just 6 Mbps download speed. The technicians as always try to get off from their fault by blaming us or the internet service provider stating that the remote hardware test of Dell shows as all pass in my screen, which means fault is not with Dell and I need to do a windows reset again(Just imagine it is going to be the fifth time they want to make me do this). But I genuinely doubt that is a false hardware test software designed just to put customers on blame, because the software test for the hardware still shows as "All pass" even when it is actually faulty. So kindly look into the matter and replace my laptop, else I would have to approach it legally and it wouldn't be a big toll for me except that I will have to pull my father away from his busy cases since he is a senior lawyer of The High Court of the state.

This is a public user to user tech forum. You should contact Dell directly in your country.

I need a convincing answer from Dell. And I had to ask this in the dell public platform as to see an immediate resolution for the same as the responses.I had got was always on a negative tone having been under the Dell warranty until 2024. Others also can respond to this if they are facing similar issues
