Dell G15 Missing high performance power plan option

hello, ive recently recieved my new dell g15 gaming laptop and have recently discovered a small problem with it. it has no high performance power plan. by the looks of it, dell have taken control of the power plans which i personally dont want. as seen in this picture, these are the power plans i have.

And when i go to create a new one, these are the options i have.

Also, when i try to edit them, this is what shows up.

Ive tried all the fixes that are on youtube and have looked at some posts on the dell community, but none of them have fixed my problem. ive been in the registory editor and at first there wasnt a CsEnabled option but Ive seen that you can create them which i tried but that didnt work. ive also done the command prompt and dell powershell copy and paste thing but that hasnt worked either. please help.

thanks!

All,

When running that command, it creates an additional Power Plan drop down called Ultimate Performance. You then need to open every + and examine the changes made.

Well what I would do is just set the CPU minimum power to 100% when plugged in and then even if it’s the balanced power mode, you still get the performance.

Did you click on Show additional Power Plans? High performance was hidden at first for me.

Here’s something I did before.

powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

Type that in Command prompt  as an administrator and then run it by clicking enter. Then go back to the power plans and click make new one. But make sure to close power plans before entering the command.

Hello,

Same problem as OP.

Creating that "Ultimate Performance" mode with mentioned command only seems to make copy-paste version from the only Balanced mode. And none of the modes have that "Processor power managment" or any other Performance/Advanced drop menu.

To enable High Performance mode, open Alienware Command Center and Click F9 on the laptop keyboard. (There's also a huge G on the F9 key.) Once you do that, you'll see a blue G appear on the top of the screen in Alienware Command Center, and a pop up on the bottom right of the screen that says "High Performance Mode enabled". After you're in High Performance mode, You can click on the 3 slider looking settings button that's to the right of the dark/light mode slider, and go to the "Game Shift" tab and choose more aggressive cooling options. By default, it's set to High Performance, But if you really want your fans to scream, you can have it on rapid cool. which is the most aggressive cooling option. Hope this helps. I actually came across this thread, because I was trying to figure out a way to enable high performance mode without the laptop keyboard. I have my laptop hidden behind a TV when I use it, because of my toddler, just using a wireless keyboard. So if someone figures out a way to enable High Performance Mode without use of the laptop keyboard, I'd be eternally grateful. If you don't have Alienware Command Center installed, you can search for your dell g15 laptop model drivers on dells website, and install it through there.

OMG!!! I love you, bruh!  I've been doing every registry hack, Powershell command/ Youtube fix for this, to the point where, powershell just now tells me, "hey, look, man..the f'ng power plan already exists, I can't add it again!!!" And yet? The stupid plans are still missing in Power Options... All but "Balanced." I had no idea that I A.) Needed to have Alienware Command Center, which was preinstalled but not working, initially B.) Needed to hit the "G" button. Once I hit the "G" button? Yes, confirmed, it does say high performance mode is enabled and the fans do go louder, but for some reason? The power plan on the lower right still says balanced and clicking on it reveals no others, but whatever. I'm good now!
