Dell G5 15 5590 Keyboard Backlight Issue

I have an issue with my G5 15 5590 laptop keyboard backlight. It is not functioning correctly, it doesn't light up unless i put a bit of pressure underneath where the service tag is indicated. And when it lights up, i cant be turned off using the F10 key. So sad.

Try reconnecting the cable or look for uneven areas between the top of the chassis and the bottom to make sure nothin is being pushed on it.

Been coordinating with technical support. They said they will be replacing the parts found defective during we run diagnostic.

1. restart computer

2. when the dell logo appears press either f12 or the delete key, might depend on your model. this is to open the boot menu

3. select BIOS setup

4. go to the system configuration tab, inside here should be the backlight settings for AC and battery. you can pick the settings you want!!
