Dell Inspiron 15 (3567)
The laptop comes with an SSD of 256G. We wanted to upgrade so I look at the specs via dell support. It shows an M.2 2280. I buy an M.2 2280 then I go to the Service Manual and it only shows hard drive replacement for a HDD. Hmm.. I chat with Dell and they tell me i have a 2.5 inch SSD. Ok that seems to make more sense. I call Dell to discuss purchasing (just to confirm that what i had already purchased would or would not work) and I am told that I need to get an M.2. I discuss this further with the sales agent who placed me on hold several times. Finally she comes back and also says now that it is a 2.5 inch SSD that i need to get. She then tells me the laptop doesn't support more than 256G and tries to sell me SSD that are larger so I inform her why would you sell me larger SSD if I am at the max already?!
Wow. I have never received such terrlible support from Dell - ever. The web site is inaccurate and support is clueless. Using overseas support, even worst on top of it all. I was so frustated I just needed to post this.

Thank you for your message. I apologize for the inconvenience caused.
This system model has a SATA 6 Gbps interface & does not support M.2. The model does support SSD 2.5 Inch more than 256 GB.

Hi Mr. Sreejith,
My inspiron model is 3567 purchased on 2017. I want to upgrade to 512gb ssd or more. Will it support that much capacity? I have 1tb hdd presently, as work pressure increased laptop seems slow and less responsive thus want to upgrade. Awaiting your reply.

Any standard 2.5" SATA SSD will work as a replacement for the hard drive.

Dear Dell People
This Link is dedicated for the particular mode.
In other words, it is a page for Dell Inspiron 15 (3567).
https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/pfydresults/250229/dl69sj2?categoryId=5683
It shows that we can upgrade using an M.2 sata Drive. (Dell M.2 SATA Class 20 2280 Solid State Drive - 256GB)
So, why it is there if the model does not have a slot?
Or, does it support M.2 SATA but not M.2 NVMe ?
Please clarify it!
