Dell Inspiron BIOS Corrupted

You might keep in mind, the Bios recovery may be using old Bios versions kept in the EFI System partition.  Recently, it appears, those images are causing problems by filling up the EFI system partition to a point where normal operations may fail.

I have no way of knowing if anything like this is involved with your system.

Hi, my Dell Inspirion has this same issue which also developed on May 26th, 2023

I've tried recovering the Bios with USB following the steps here https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000132453/how-to-recover-the-bios-on-a-dell-computer-or-tablet By downloading the .RCV files on a formatted FAT 32 removable drive. 

This has not resolved my issue and my computer still has a bios autorecovery boot loop.

I tried to restore using bios 1.21.0(Apr 2023) as well as 1.4.0 (Jan 2021) and neither have fixed my issue.

I simply went to Dell service center. And they recovered BIOS using USB. 

They pressed F12 instead of ctrl + escape.

I don't know how.

Did they hold F12 in the same fashion as you're supposed to with CTRL + ESC (HOLD, then plug in power adapter, release when caps lock light comes on)?

Or was it some different combination. I see that this leads into a different screen before the inevitable bootloop from bios corruption.

Do you know what Bios was used on the USB, or size of the USB stick? I'm sorry for the one million questions but this doesn't seem like it should be this big of a problem

Every time you start your computer, you see two F keys mentioned which are F2 and F12.  The F12 key is for a boot device menu, from which you pick what you want to boot to.  

They booted from the USB drive, which allowed them to bypass the Auto Recovery operation.
