Dell Inspiron G3 15 Screen Hinge Broken

Bought a brand new Dell Inspiron G3 15 and just under a year it's hinges just got broken.

Sent it to Service centre and it is taking a really long time for the spare parts to arrive from the Dell depot.

Did anyone manage to get this hinge problem fixed? Was the fix solid and did not break again?

It is a nightmare to get support from Dell in East Africa. The service centre is so slow and doesn't give any feedback. I don't think I will ever buy a Dell laptop again
