Dell inspiron plus 16 7629 shut down problems

I own this laptop and it has one major issue that I am growing increasingly worried about with its affect in the long term. So when I first got the laptop, I was putting it in my computer bag like I do for every other laptop, and it overheated. Now that was my fault, I left it on, and I was like "ok looks like I have to shut the whole thing down whenever I put it in my computer bag." I have been shutting it down VERY thoroughly in between classes, but I still have problem. But First, I want to make clear, that I am DOUBLE checking that my laptop is shut down before I put it in my computer bag. I even wait for the lights underneath the keyboard to turn off, which I find is the most reliable way of making sure it is properly shut down before I put it in my computer bag. However, this is not enough. I will often pull it out of my bag absolutely boiling hot. Its reached the point a few times, were it has erased the rub-out ink in my exercise books. But when I pull out this slab of seething metal and open it, I find a blue screen that says "windows didn't load correctly." 

This can be quite bad. Especially for the battery. I have no doubt that the internals of the laptop are reaching 110+ degrees Celsius. I want to use my laptop, and placing it in a computer bag without having to be terrified of it overheating. I shouldn't have to be worried about my laptop bluescreening and converting its battery charge straight into heat. If it weren't for this error, I might not have had any problems. But this cannot be good for the laptop. 

I will also note, that I had the motherboard on this laptop replaced about 2 months or so ago, due to a different issue, which bricked the computer. Ever since, this issue has been quite frequent. 

If I cand find out just how to stop this issue, maybe I can save my laptop. But I have had my warranty extended, and I am sure that I will need a new battery at some point if this persists any further. Any tips? I have tried SO HARD to take the utmost care of this laptop, apart from this issue, its a really good laptop, great performance, beautiful display, and I love the keyboard.
