Dell Update BIOS installation taking hours
I've been trying to update my BIOS via Dell Update. It's been 6 hours trying to install it.
I originally tried updating via SupportAssist but it kept failing(When I scanned my laptop for driver updates on Dell's website, it kept telling me to install SA even though it was originally on it), so I uninstalled SA and tried reinstalling, but the installer keeps saying my SA is up-to-date and won't install SA even though I don't have it. Thus is the reason why I switched to Dell Update.
Am I doing something wrong? Why is the Dell Update BIOS installation taking hours?

I don't see BIOS version A07 listed in your Dell Product Support page - Inspiron 3537).
Click link below, expand BIOS, select Older Versions....
Support for Inspiron 3537 | Drivers & Downloads | Dell US
I even tried to google A07 to see if it will come up, nothing. Dell probably remove BIOS A07 because of a known problem with it. If the computer is working well or without any problems, I suggest you don't update the BIOS.
Updating from a BIOS that is old or isn't listed in your Dell Product Support page is a risk, you might corrupt the BIOS or motherboard however, if you still want to update the BIOS at your own risk then please read information listed below:

What exactly is your Dell model number? It's the Inspiron 5537, Inspiron 5737, 3537 or 3737 ?

Windows 10 is on the computer?
What is the latest BIOS version on the computer now? If you don't know:
Press Windows logo key + R key at the same time on the keyboard
In the Run box, type msinfo32 and press Enter key
In the System Information window, look for BIOS Version/Date

Nope. Ended up cancelling the installation, rebooting my laptop, tried again, ended up with the same results. Thinking I might have to manually install BIOS because nothing is working...

I was originally going to update my BIOS because my laptop kept unexpectedly shutting down while it was in sleep mode. I've checked all the settings and made sure they weren't changed to shut down. I've tried all the other options to fix the problem (Event 41 Kernel Power, happened almost every time laptop was put to sleep), so that left BIOS update, but I guess I won't try to update it if it's risky and will up my laptop...
Thank you for the help

Thanks for the quick update.
It could be a problem with windows 10 power management settings. Try Power Troubleshooter to see if it will make a difference. Type Control Panel onto the search box, click on Security and Maintenance, Troubleshoot common computer problems, Additional Troubleshooters, and then Power.
If Power troubleshooter doesn't fix the sleep problem, I suggest reinstalling windows 10 - see links below):

Thanks again.

Inspiron 15-3567 Dell Update BIOS installation taking hours to install. Bios update 4/29/22. I got tired of waiting. Tried to cancel and it didn't work. Ended task(s) in task manager and a notification popped up "The system has been updated". Opened Dell updates and it offered to install it again. No Way.
