Disable startup beeps or Integrated Display Precision 7537
I think due to the hinges my case started coming apart and it became impossible to fully open or close the laptop. I want to remove the original display and instead use a monitor and keyboard for my device.
The problem is that because I took out the display my laptop beeps really loudly 8 times on startup. What are my options for either disabling the beeping or integrated monitor to resolve beeping?
The UEFI firmware options seem extremely limited and have no option for silent startup, or to configure anything related to the display or default display output (which I would want to set to HDMI). My OS is still detecting the original monitor so I think there is still firmware for it built into the mobo.
Could I:
1. Find additional BIOS settings if I enable Legacy BIOS (trying to avoid so I don't have to mess w/ OS afterwards)
2. Remove the CPU Speaker so that it cannot beep
3. Otherwise modify the firmware settings to fix this?

The only way to silence the beeps is to replace the panel with a recognized one, or disconnect the speakers and mute the sound under Windows.

If you remove the onboard display, your laptop may not past POST. An onboard display is usually required for the laptop to operate, even if you use an external monitor. Even if it does work, you will hear that beep code.
You could disconnect the speakers. But, there could come a time when you might need to hear a beep sequence to inform you of a hardware failure.
I am not aware of any BIOS setting that could disable POST beep codes. And, as I mentioned, one day you might need those beeps.

It still boots into the OS without an issue. Functionally everything works fine, the beeps just are an annoyance.

I had edited my post to change "will" to "may", but it seems that edit wasn't saved. I've now changed it again.
As far as I know, the only ways to prevent the beeps would be to have a functional onboard display in place or to disconnect the speakers.

If your intention is turning the Precision into a fixed workstation, do a little research on which docking station or hub can work with your device output ports. The setup will work nicely with external monitor and peripherals without the need to alter hardware (speakers) or firmware (BIOS).

Thanks! Any idea if there is a separate speaker for the cpu codes? When I have an hdmi tv connected with sound, the 8 beeps still are coming from the laptop so I'm hoping this is the case. It sounds like disconnecting the speaker is definitely the cleanest way to accomplish this.

My problem with this would be I'd still need the display connected. The case is unable to close so I want to fully remove the top half
