DRIVERS FOR INSPIRON 5570
I doubt if this issue is specific to the 5570 nor even specific to laptops only..............
Having done a clean install of Win10 to this one, as usual I ran Windows update several times over a few days. I've always wondered how Microsoft keep up with millions of manufacturers' driver updates & newer versions of updates each year, well with this 5570 they don't.
I ran the Check For Updates utility on Dell's site & came up with 21 driver updates 6 of which were critical in red. Is this a common event? I've maintained Dells for years but obviously not thoroughly since it is is the first time I've noticed this?

This page at Howtogeek has some information on the driver process but in general the most up to date and best drivers come from the manufacturer's site rather than MS. And if we are talking about video drivers that is especially true. Generally when I clean install Windows, and I always clean install especially on brand new systems, I let Windows install included drivers. After the installation process I then browse various sites such as Dell or the hardware manufacturer's site to make sure I have the newest of the new drivers. The most common drivers I find that MS does not do a good job of updating, besides video drivers, are chipset drivers.
