Enable touchpad while typing Inspiron 7472

I've had my laptop for a while and this has always bugged me. I like to do a bit of gaming on the side but don't always have a mouse with me. When I'm using the trackpad and the keys at the same time the trackpad likes to stop working. I've seen solutions involving regedit but none that apply to my laptop. I was wondering how to make it so that when I'm using my keyboard the trackpad doesn't turn off. Thanks!

Open the settings app for your Dell touchpad, such as by right-click on the touchpad icon in the systray. Find a setting called TouchCheck or PalmCheck and disable it. (It temporarily stops touchpad inputs while the user is typing - most users want that enabled, to prevent accidental touches being interpreted as user inputs).

If your system uses Windows touchpad drivers instead of Dell, you should find a similar setting in Windows Settings for touchpad.

How to enable touchpad while typing Dell?
If that is your issue, see the Dell Knowledge Base article Cursor Moves Around Erratically While Typing on the Notebook Keyboard.
Press and hold the Windows ( ) key, and then press the q key.
In the Search box, type Touchpad.
Touch or click Mouse & touchpad settings.
Look for a Touchpad On/Off toggle.
