Faulty Dell Mouse
I bought a Dell wireless mouse - MS300 in September 2025 and it is faulty. The left mouse button executes a double-click instead of a single roughly 60% of the time. I don't hear or feel the second click but the resulting action is a double-click. This is highly annoying. It started doing this about 2 weeks ago. I ordered it online with Dell.com and the order number is <To protect your privacy, all private information was removed from this public post. DELL-Admin>

If it recently started and seems to be getting worse, it sounds like the contacts for the left click button are worn or dirty, creating an intermittent connection while the button is depressed, hence the unwanted second click. Try holding down the left click button on something like the Windows start menu button and slowly release your finger, but don't let the button click back into place. If "clicks" are being registered, then there's something definitely wrong.

@Kflash08 thanks for your reply. If I press and hold the button, often it registers a release of the button. So, selecting a section of text is almost impossible. There is definitely a fault.
I am trying to raise a warranty return but cannot find a way to do this. I have tried the "get help now" route and that doesn't work as you need a service tag in order to progress.
It's incredibly frustrating. Does anyone know how to raise this with Dell?
