G15 5511 performance tips

G15, I7 11800h, rtx 3060, 16Gb 3200. Mobile gaming rig for travel.  I run this on a kiato cooling pad, and it keeps in game temps right around 60-70c.

I run the AW command center in performance, with MSI afterburner on (no overclock, just to display fps and temps).

So, I hadn't been satisfied running a fairly easy game, Fallout 76, was wondering why I was averaging fps in the 30's-40's (always plugged in the psu charger).  I updated nvidia driver to 497.29, installed geforce experience, what a game changer, literally.  I did have to go back and max out the graphics settings in game, but no problem.

With the driver update, having no problems with steady 60 fps (nSync), and way higher turned off.

The newest gpu driver for the 3060 that I found today is the 511.23.  I installed and can verify it's compatible.

If you're having in game sluggishness or lower fps than you should be getting, I'd start there.  Anyone else have any ideas on how to get more performance out of this laptop, please post your ideas.  I've got a Samsung 1Tb drive ready to go in, and just waiting for the funds to order mas memory!
