G3 15 3500 memory configuration.
Without taking the rear off, how do I know if my system has 1x8GB or 2x4GB Ram please? Do Dell normally use both slots when fitting memory or do they like to leave a slot free for upgrading?
Thanks,
Colin

There are several ways to determine that. This is one:
Open Task Monitor | Performance tab | select Memory. It will tell you how many slots and how many in use, and total memory size. e.g. Slots used: 2 of 2

Hello,
On your Dell system, click on the Start menu or press the Windows key. Type "System Information" and open the corresponding application from the search results. In the System Information window, look for the "Installed Physical Memory (RAM)" or "Total Physical Memory" section. It should display the total amount of RAM installed on your system. If the displayed total amount of RAM matches 8GB, it indicates that you have a single 8GB RAM module installed. If it shows 4GB, it suggests that you have two 4GB RAM modules installed.
