G3 3500 hinge broke
Dell G3 15 3500
Hi, I purchased G3 3500 in Jan of 2020. On 2022.09, the hinge popped out of place and 2 small screws fell with plastic stuck to them. As I searched on the Internet, many others have the same issue, and the G3 3590 (i.e., the model of 2019) is now having 1-year warranty extension for the hinge issues. I hope Dell helps me with the same.

My point is that, because G3 3590 and 3500 have the same design; they differ in CPU, battery, RAM, etc -- all related to the performance of the computer, but not the physical case. Since that 3500 has a 1-year extended warranty for the hinge due to the design issues, it's reasonable for me to suspect that the hinge issue that I am having now is also due to the design issues. So I'd hope that Dell could help fix the hinge.
