HDD TO SSD can’t boot
I am getting an error code 0xc000025; a required device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed.
The SSD is detected in the bios & when I run a diagnosis.
I also have tried booting using the USB flash drive & run the repair your PC:
The command prompt says total identified windows installation: 0
when I try to factory reset it - I get a message saying system cannot access the partitions.
i have the sata settings in AHCI Mode & boot UEFI - safe boot disabled.
Other details
LAPTOP Inspiron 15 5000 series doesn’t have a DVD drive. bios is A13. SSD - Samsung 870 QVO
I am able to boot from HDD.
I have looked at a lot of trouble shoot posts & can’t figure it out. Please help.

Unless you cloned the contents of the HDD to the SSD, it is not surprising that the SSD cannot boot. The SSD is blank when you get it.

Yes I have cloned it using aomei backupper. Should have mentioned that

How would a different cloning software help? Care to elaborate?

Have you enabled the boot option in the bios after you installed it? That is boot option 1 SSD that windows is installed on?

I had this problem too, but as I has paid EaseUS $20 for their cloning software I was able to get tech help. The tech used a remote connect to my computer and ... yeah, be if I can remember the changes he made, it took a few minutes for him. Yeah, problem is in Windows10 and this setup you cannot see the complete boot options list. Sorry, but start Googling, it is a general problem it seems and I believe you will probably find the answer.

I paid $20 for EaseUS cloning software and I had the same problem There was no choice in Bios of boot sequence, just the HDD. But since I paid I got a tech and after a an hour (or a day, I cannot remember of trying to set up remote connect software) he managed to change the boot sequence. Now, though the HDD does not show up. I assume that if in the future the SSD cannot boot, then the boot will automatically be from the HDD. This was one reason for getting the SSD, to have the HDD as alternate bootable device Wish I had tried Macrium free!
