Inspiron 15 3000 won't boot up properly

So I just got Dell Inspiron 15 3000 last night, it's brand new and it's been working wonderfully. This morning I was trying to install my drawing tablet, for which I had to restart my computer. I admit this next part is my fault and is probably why my laptop is broken. I clicked the restart button on the start panel so I could finish installing my tablet, and the "Getting Windows Ready, do not turn off your PC" screen showed up. It stayed on screen for like 10 minutes and I was getting impatient so I just hard shut off my laptop (dumb I know). Then, when I tried to turn my laptop on again, at first it showed the Dell logo as normal, but then the screen just turned black. Like, the screen was on (like, there was light coming out of it), it just wasn't booting into the lock screen. It'd been like that for like 5 minutes, so I restarted. Same thing. Over and over. If someone could help me that'd be cool ;_______;

Hi Trashcat,

Thanks for posting.  Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.

This is a pretty easy fix.  You may just need to reinstall the Operating System.

here is information from the Dell Knowledge Base you may find helpful:

This depends how much you feel like opening up a brand new system. You could reset the system. Disconnect the battery and unplug the adapter. Now press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then reconnect everything and try again. If that does not appeal to you, then you could either do a clean install of Windows 10, or a Dell Factory reset. The links are below. Though if Windows is corrupt now a factory restore from the image would probably be the easiest. That would install Windows as it came from the factory.
