Inspiron 16 display touch feature
Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 16 laptop, which I purchased because of its excellent features, including the touchscreen functionality. However, in the past few weeks, I have noticed that the touchscreen has completely stopped working. It was functioning perfectly before, but now there is no response when I touch the screen. I have tried basic troubleshooting steps, such as restarting the laptop, ensuring Windows is fully updated, and checking for driver updates in the Device Manager. Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue. The touchscreen is no longer listed under Human Interface Devices in the Device Manager, which makes me think it might be a driver or hardware problem. I am unsure how to proceed and would appreciate any guidance or solutions from the community. Has anyone else faced a similar issue, or does anyone know what might be causing this? Thank you in advance for your help!

If the system is under warranty, call Dell for repair.
If it's out of warranty, check the connection between the display and mainboard -- this will require disassembling the system. If you need a reference to the service manual, post the full model number (i.e., Inspiron 7620).
