Inspiron 17 5000 Boot Loop
Hello,
I have an Inspiron 17 5000 Series, which doesn't load past the DELL logo.
Yesterday, Windows suddenly started to load an update. Despite it taking 5 hours, the update was only 24% complete, so I decided to cancel the update. I turned the laptop on and off, only to be greeted with the "Undoing changes made to your computer..." that never seemed to end. So, opened the SupportOS and decided to factory reset my laptop. All seemed to work as planned, until the reset was complete and I tried to load up the machine. The LED would flash and the DELL logo appeared, however the laptop would shut itself off before I even got to the login screen, after which it would reboot and perpetuate the cycle. I have tried loading up the SupportOS by performing a hard shut down three times, but it never works. What can I do?

I'm assuming windows 10 is on the computer......
Download the windows 10 installation media from the link below. You'll need a working computer to download the windows 10 installation media and a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space.

After creating windows 10 installation media, plug USB flash drive into the non working computer:
1. Power on computer, quickly start tapping F12 key continuously until you see Preparing One Time Boot Menu in top right corner of screen.
2. In Dell Preboot menu, select USB flash drive (window 10 media).
In the Window 10 setup screen, you could either reinstall windows 10 or select Repair Your Computer option.
The option to 'repair your computer' give you the tools to get windows 10 up and running again. Most often you are able to keep all or most of your important stuff such as documents, pictures, downloads, music.
