Inspiron 5458 WiFi problem

I am on Windows 10 and have noticed that my wifi goes off every after a few minutes. It turns into a globe icon on the system tray and does not show any wifi networks when clicked. I went to Control Panel and 'Change adapter settings' and did not see my wireless network, just ethernet. My wireless card did not show up on Device Manager as well.

I'm not sure if my wifi card is broken and have tried all t/s on a lot of Google and YouTube searches. When my wifi card did show up on device manager, I tried uninstalling it and did a restart, to no avail. Tried all the cmd network and ip reset commands out there too. Now my wifi card is not showing up at all and I still have this globe icon on the tray. I am currently connected to wifi via a USB wireless adapter from TP-Link.

Please help. I need to have my wifi up and running again as I have been working from home since.
