Inspiron 5567, battery replacement

Hi,

I have an out of warranty (December 16, 2019) Dell Inspiron 5567 laptop, with approximately more than 3 years of usage. I have a battery issue it's getting discharged from 100% to 0 within 40 minutes. So I want to replace the battery. I have contacted the Dell support for replacement of battery, the mail that they sent to me in response states the following.

  1. All the Parts replaced will be refurbished parts
  2. All replaced parts will carry only 90 days warranty

As battery is a consumable part, I want to know that the new battery that I would get replaced from Dell technician would be a New battery or a Refurbished one. Also please let me know about the warranty period is whether 90 days or 365 days.

Thank you.

You can get new batteries, Dell OEM from here

1-year warranty.  If you don't want to replace the battery yourself, any local computer shop can do the job for whatever an hour's labor costs in your location.
