Inspiron 7506 Linux Drivers

I have installed Kubuntu 20.04 on an Inspiron 7506 and it is mostly working ok.

The touch pad is a bit flaky (but does basically work) while the fingerprint reader does not work at all.

The finger print reader is

Bus 003 Device 003: ID 27c6:538d Shenzhen Goodix Technology Co.,Ltd. FingerPrint

or perhaps 

Bus 003 Device 019: ID 2109:8817 VIA Labs, Inc. FingerPrint

I found some posts on installing the Goodix driver for this but the repositories mentioned are Focal-Somerville and Focal-Somerville-melisa which seem specific to the XPS13. The generic Focal-Dell and Focal-OEM do not seem to contain anything for the Goodix fingerprint reader.

Are there any repositories specific to the Inspiron series or any other generic ones that might contain a suitable driver?

On the off chance I tried running fprintd-enroll but no device is found
