Inspiron 7773 strange GPU/Windows 10 behaviour

It is doing my head in to the extent I might end up sending it back and getting my money back.

I got the laptop and made sure it ran. Then fitted a M.2 sata SSD. Installed Windows 10 on it. System wouldnt come out of stand by. Force reboot and it would show a error with my dedicated GPU (MX150). After 2 hours 20 on phone to support with no luck fixing it system was sent back to Dell. They returned it stating it was a driver issue.

So I refit M.2 reinstall Windows 10 and system wont boot with the default bios entries. I have to add a 2nd one in order for it to boot.

This bugged me so after following a lot of bcdedit guides I got no where. I then changed the sata controller setting from RAID to ACHI and system then boots fine with one bios entry. But the GPU crashing is back. So its now back on RAID but with 2 entries.

What the **bleep** is going on with this laptop??

*Update. Issue resolved it would appear the Crucial M.2 MX500 sata is not completely compatible with the system. the MX500 was returned and refunded. Bought a Samsung 970 EVO Nvme fitted and running with no issues

Thank you for your message. I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Is the SSD not getting detected when you set the BIOS to UEFI & secure boot on?

What is the error on boot up on the SSD on RAID & the error on the GPU, is there a blue screen error message?

What is the BIOS version installed?

Does the system boot if you set the BIOS to UEFI & secure boot on & is the SSD listed in Windows?

Run a hardware diagnostic by following the video on this link http://bit.ly/2fJuGXB

Hi Dell-Sreejith R.

With the system set on RAID and a fresh install of Windows 10 the Boot entry is.

\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi (Windows Boot Manager)

In order to get the system to boot I have to add the following one.

\EFI\Boot\bootx64.efi (I added this one).

System will then boot fine but will not if there is only one of the above.

It is the latest BIOS version (1.10.0).

When set to AHCI only the Windows boot manager entry is needed. The system boots fine but in device manager the dedicated GPU shows /!\ . Going into the properties for it it says "Windows has stopped this device code 43"

Thanks
