Inspiron auto brightness adjust
Hi,
This is the third time I've tried to post this, but it didn't seem to work. Apologies if it's duplicated.
Is there a fix to disable the stupid auto brightness adjust (CABC) 'feature' yet? I've spent hours trying to fix this before finding the posts on here saying what is even causing it. Inspiron 15 7000 Series -7570.
On a ranting note, I've used Dells for my whole career and am completely astounded at the stupidity of this latest design. I've spent £1200 and ended up with a laptop that doesn't fit any of the Dell chargers I already have, has a keyboard that is missing keys by design, a touchpad that is borderline unusable and a display that is hugely irritating. Thanks Dell.

Hi Robert
This issue is not fixed yet, almost a year now. Have just bought a new Inspiron 13 7000 (7378) and when you move from bright pages to darker ones or the other way around the screen will slightly dim. Brightness is set to max and there is no adaptive option to turn off.
It is not possible to send you a private message, says I do not have permission..
Please advise.

Hi Colm,
Were you able to update the driver as described by @Ryan_at_Dell ?
Here is how to contact another user by private messaging.

This problem is now present on the Dell Inspiron 14 3473 as well I just got mine it's less than a week old and I have the exact same issues with CABC kicking in when viewing white pages and then suddenly dimming when switching back to a dark background.
The constant change in brightness is eyestrain inducing does this model have a way of turning this off? I've been searching for a few days without much luck I'm still within my 30 day return window so I'm seriously debating sending it back if it can't be resolved.
