Inspiron charging issue

Question

I have been having charging issues with my Inspiron 7591 since day 1. Basically, it does not always charge, and when it does, the laptop uses the batter faster than it is being replenished when plugged in. I.e. If the battery is at 50% and we plug it in, and we are still using it, instead of the battery charge getting higher, it continues to decrease (albeit at a lower rate), but it still decreases. We thought there was an issue with the charging adapter and got a new free one from Dell, but the problem continues. It is making the laptop unusable. How can we get our Inspiron 7591 to charge faster than its consumption?

gavinmish,   Click here to update the system bios. Also, go into the power management settings under devices-power and sleep- Additional power settings- change power plan. Choose a balanced setting.

did both of those.... did not fix the issue.  I think the motherboard port where the charger plugs in to, is not a very tight connection.  I'm assuming this would cause this exact issue, and would require Dell fix the physical issue with the loose connection, yes?
