Internal hard disk drive not found...
Hello, I found this reply on a thread while looking for a solution for a problem I'm having with my Inspirion 3520:

Please check in BIOS under “System Configuration” tab “SATA operation” is set to AHCI mode. Save the settings and exit the BIOS screen.

I'm having the same problem, and have tried the suggested actions, to no avail. Please help!

Try running the pre boot diagnostics to see if the hard drive has failed.

Sounds like the drive is toast. It's not particularly easy to access the drive on this model, and given its age, before you try, you may want to have a replacement drive on hand so you don't have to go through the process twice. You may also want to consider replacing the drive with a solid state drive rather than a hard drive.
