Is this WLAN driver compatible?
The Dell Support page for my Inspiron 15 5584 lists this as the latest available driver Version 12.0.0.916, A33 for the Qualcomm QCA61x4A/QCA9377.
I searched the Dell Support website and found a link to this driver for the same Qualcomm QCA61x4A/QCA9377 WLAN chipset and it appears to be a newer Version 12.0.0.953, A39.
Is it safe to install the higher version driver since its for the same WLAN?

Thanks.
Is it possible that Dell mistakenly doesn't list the Inspiron 15 5584 under compatible devices on the newer driver download page?

I've been having an odd issue where at random times IPv6 stops working while I'm connected to the internet via WLAN. Disconnecting from AP and reconnecting immediately fixes the issue.
I took the risk and installed the newer Version 12.0.0.953, A39 driver, even though it's not listed under my model's support download page.
So far the new version registers in Device Manager for both the WLAN and Bluetooth adapters.
WiFi is functioning. Even though I can't see the patch/release notes on this driver, hopefully the odd IPv6 glitch is fixed with this newer driver.
Thanks
