It won’t turn on
Hi. I bought a Inspirion 14 about 4 years ago. The machine worked perfectly until today. When I try to turn it on, I hear a click noise coming from the center of the laptop and then it shuts off before the greens shows something. Please help...

Could you please post the exact model of your system? And does the noise start as soon as you try to start the system? Any beeps or flashing lights? And by greens do you mean no display at all on the screen? My first guess would be hard drive but in that case you should still see a display. The following forum post may help but it does reference a possible motherboard problem.

We're glad to know your computer is up and running again. The computer being four years old, I'd suggest you run a full (complete) diagnostic test to check all hardware on the system. This will run a stress test on all hardware devices which goes even deeper to find any possible hardware issues. You could this by following the steps in the link below.
