Laptop hibernates automatically at 3%
I have the Inspiron 14 5402 and it automatically hibernates when there is 3% left and then I have to turn the laptop on again and it'll run until it hits 0%. It's just frustrating because I'll be in the middle of an online call or in class and I'll be dropped from the call.
I went to Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Power Options - changed plan settings - advanced settings and I couldn't change critical battery action to 'do nothing' on battery. Does this mean I can't stop my laptop from automatically going into hibernate mode at 3%? I previously had an Asus that didn't have this problem. Not sure if it's a new setting for all PC laptops or if it's just a Dell setting.

First, I'd suggest you run 'Power' troubleshooting tool on the system. Please type Troubleshooting Control Panel onto [Cortana} search box, click on 'View All', and then Power. Run other tools as well

I ran the troubleshooting for Power and the only thing it fixed was that the laptop takes too long before going to sleep. So I'll see if that helps. What do you mean by run other tools as well?
