Laptop's touchpad or keypad is automatically getting pressed
It's been 4 years since I bought my Dell Inspiron 15 - 3543. I haven't faced any problem till date. But since a past few days, my touchpad or keyboard is not functioning properly.
When I am scrolling down any webpage or any pdf, it suddenly goes to the top of the page or pdf and is getting struck there. I should press any keyboard key to restore it normally . Again after few seconds the same thing is repeating. It is really frustrating me a lot.
When I play some video, it suddenly goes to the beginning of video and getting struck there without me touching anything. Suddenly, cursor is going here and there and some keys are randomly getting pressed. It is really irritating.
I have installed latest drivers for these but there is no change in the problem.
Someone please help me with this. Why is it happening? Is there any problem with my hardware (touchpad or keyboard) ? Should I replace them ? Or what else could the problem be?

Good day
It sounds like you have cursor jumping issue. Please run diagnostics on the system as below
Note : Ac adapter should be connected while running diagnostics on the system.
Power off the system. Hold the Fn key and Power button for 2 Sec and let go Power key but keep holding Fn key which will initialise diagnostics on the system
Once you see all Colors click Yes and it will run remaining diagnostics. Once the test is done it says All test passed click Ok followed by next question Do you want to run memory test select No and click Exit on top right corner to complete diagnostics
If you get any error in diagnostics please contact Dell technical support with error code and validation code.

Enter service Tag and go to Drivers and downloads Mouse touchpad section and see if any drivers listed for touchpad if any please install the same
Go to control panel mouse and see if it shows Dell touchpad or just mouse settings
If you see Dell touchpad then open settings go to guestures and disable guestures
If you see just mouse settings in control panel change mouse settings like cursor speed.
If you are using external Bluetooth/wireless mouse the cursor may jump due to internal touchpad
You can download a program called touchfreeze from below link and install it

Run Antivirus scan by your Anti virus to detect potential threats
Restart the system check the system functionality
