Latest BIOS update on Inspiron 5493 caused keyboard keys 1 q a z to fail HELP
I applied the latest BIOS update on 13 Feb 2023, 1.25.1, and after applying it the following keys were intermittently working or not working at all for long stretches: 1 q a z
I downgraded my BIOS to the one that I replaced, 1.24.0 10 Oct 2022, and my keys are still not working right.

Attach an external USB keyboard -- does it work correctly? If yes, check the condition of the battery (below the keyboard). If it is starting to swell, remove it immediately -- it's common for keyboard or touchpad problems to be the first symptom of a faulty battery.
If the battery is OK, and an external keyboard works, replace the palmrest assembly:
