Thank you for your message. Yes, you will be able to replace the touchscreen with a non-touchscreen & it should work fine.

How many beeps do you hear when you start the computer, is it 8 beeps?
When you start the computer holding down the D key, is there any self-test seen?

If you have confirmed that the LCD is working fine. Please replace the LVDS cable, the part number for a non-touch LCD is FKGC9.

I am afraid, I was not able to find the exact details on that. The part number is the same & only for non-touch models. Seems like a 40-pin connector.

Hi sir. i have a Dell inspiron 15" 5559. Could i change also the lcd Touchscreen to non-touchscreen because i drop my laptop so hard and it broke the display. so is there by any chance that i could change it to non-touchscreen? like to what you said by changing the LVDS cable.
