NO Post, LED codes

I need to know what 4 white  led flashes means for the

Inspiron 3593

I get not behavior other than the flashes. I have unplugged the batteries, reseated the ram, removed the harddrives. Nothing I do has made any difference what-so-ever. I just get the caps locks light on, the four flashes of the LED next to the power cord. If if the power cord is not plugged in (while the battery was connected of course). All the documentation I have seen mentions amber and white flashes. There is no amber, only white. four flashes the a pause and four flashes, etc.

Is the LED ring on the AC adapter that's flashing?

@ejn63 no, or at least the power cord does not have an LED ring on it.

When I got home the blinking changed to a single blink. After holding the power button down for about 40 seconds and it tried to power on I heard an audible click when powering off. After that it came on. It said system time was off and I did a diagnostic and it said one of ram chips was faulty. These are three month old crucial ram chips and now one is bad.

I removed the offending chip and it seems to have come on.

the blinking lights never have shown any color other than white.

But two white (amber) and two white (white) would memory module error code.

@Emory desu36a9f1 Glad to see that you've determined the cause!

If you've removed or swapped them out before, you can try looking for wear on the pins with a magnifying glass.

If you plan to upgrade or install a new stick, try matching sticks with the same exact capacity, voltage and speed or the system will run at the lowest speed of the other stick.
