number key and shift not working

I should keep pressing the number key or shift + number key, like 5 times, to get characters. What should I do?

Clean under the keycap wiht a keyboard brush -- if that doesn't improve the situation, replace the keyboard (more likely the palmrest assembly).

What happens during the keyboard diagnostics (F12 at powerup to initiate)?

@medwf I upgraded the BIOS software, and now I know I have an issue even in BIOS.

@medwf I think the problem is in the BIOS because I have a Linux system that has that problem too.

you can try this in dos promt before install windows..........that time show repair windows option and will get dos command promt if you are able to use number and shift  that mean may be driver issue after installation of windows use dell driver not windows automaticed, otherwise you can clean the connector of the keyboard inside of the laptop or may need to be change.

@user_5e2414 thanks, after updating the BIOS, I have a problem in BIOS too. The  keys are cracking like 5 times; after that, they replay. If I stop using it, they sleep. I should always press 6 times to get one number character that is just for numbers and shift numbers.
