Problem with connecting hotspot
Hi here,
I have iPhone6s and have a trouble with connecting my hotspot to my laptop. It's Dell Inspiron 14, 5420. I can connect briefly for less than 5 minut, and then the connection is gone. Anyone some ideas?

If you're experiencing issues connecting to a hotspot on your Dell laptop, there could be several reasons for the problem. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Restart: Sometimes, simply restarting your laptop and the hotspot device can resolve connectivity issues.
Check Hotspot Settings: Ensure that the hotspot is broadcasting and functioning properly. Make sure you have the correct network name (SSID) and password for the hotspot.
Wi-Fi On: Make sure that the Wi-Fi on your Dell laptop is turned on. You can usually do this through the function keys (often F2 or F12) or through the Windows network settings.
Airplane Mode: Confirm that Airplane Mode is turned off, as it disables all wireless connections.
Network Visibility: Check if your hotspot's network is visible in the list of available networks on your laptop. If not, there might be an issue with the hotspot's broadcasting or your laptop's Wi-Fi adapter.
Update Wi-Fi Drivers: Outdated or incompatible Wi-Fi drivers can cause connectivity problems. Visit Dell's official support website, enter your laptop's model, and download the latest Wi-Fi drivers for your operating system.
Forget Network: If you previously connected to the hotspot but are having trouble now, try "forgetting" the network and then reconnecting. Go to your Wi-Fi settings, find the network, and select "Forget."
Restart Wireless Adapter: You can try disabling and then re-enabling the wireless adapter in your laptop's Device Manager. Right-click on the Start button, select "Device Manager," find your Wi-Fi adapter, right-click on it, and choose "Disable." After a few seconds, right-click again and choose "Enable."
Network Troubleshooter: Windows has a built-in network troubleshooter that can often diagnose and fix common connectivity issues. Right-click on the network icon in the taskbar and select "Troubleshoot problems."
Security Software: Sometimes, security software like antivirus programs can interfere with network connections. Temporarily disable your security software and check if the hotspot connection works. Remember to enable it again afterward.
Reset Network Settings: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting your network settings. Open the Command Prompt as an administrator and enter the following commands one by one:
netsh winsock resetnetsh int ip resetipconfig /releaseipconfig /renewipconfig /flushdnsContact Support: If you've tried all the troubleshooting steps and still can't connect to the hotspot, it might be a more complex issue related to your laptop's hardware or software configuration. In such cases, it's a good idea to contact Dell's customer support for further assistance.
Remember that the steps might vary slightly based on your laptop model and the version of Windows you're using.

@AdrianG001 this is all well and good except that you can’t do half these thing before you get through the Microsoft password on your laptop. You can’t sign-on before you are connected to the internet.
What brain child thought up this system. Hackers can always get in the people who bought the system can’t get access to them. Until aim as smart as a hacker i need to stop waisting my money.
