PXE : E61: Media test failur, check cable
Hello dear everyone, I have a laptop dell inspiron mini 1012. Since yesterday, he died alone. when I restart, the following message appears: "PXE-E61: media test failure, check cable, PXE MOF: exiting pxe ROM, Operating system not found"
I note that I did the test "pre-boot system assessment" with the exception of the error code 2000-0333 "no other error is displayed until the end I'm desperate, help me because I have data and very urgent work that is not saved anywhere

Press F2 at powerup to enter setup -- look on the main screen for a "Drives" section. Open that - if the hard drive is showing there, run the diagnostic. If it's not -- the drive is toast.

Power on, press F2 and check to make sure the system still sees the hard drive.
If it DOES, remove the drive from the system, mount it into a 2.5" external case and attach it to a working system to make a backup of your files - BEFORE you do anything else.
If the system DOES NOT see the drive, you'll then need to weigh the value of your data against the cost of data recovery (a basic fee will be about $600, and can easily top $1,000 very rapidly depending on what's wrong with the drive and how much data you have on it).

thanks for the first reply. I would know how to check if the system sees the hard drive pls. I'm not an IT maintainer, I'm just trying to get away with it. thank you for your indulgence.
