You needn't buy a big brand name such as Crucial. I recently bought a relatively unknown brand, Kuesuny, through Amazon for much less than the price of a big brand name, and I'm happy with it. I ran memory tests for a couple of days to thoroughly test the RAM when I first installed it. It performs well and saved me money.
Whenever touching components or working inside a computer, wear a grounded wrist strap, also called anti-static wrist strap, ESD wrist strap, or ground bracelet. It's a cheap and sensible precaution. Rest the laptop on an anti-static mat or at least a reasonable alternative such as corrugated cardboard.
The 8Gb ram shown in crucial official website is a quad channel ram. Will it work on my laptop in dual channel mode properly if I use a pair of them simultaneously?
@filbert I have to agree with your statement about Crucial RAM. I still suggest it to any user looking for RAM upgrades BUT I installed 16GB of Timetec RAM in my E6420 Latitude system and it works like a charm. The only thing I had to do was pull the CMOS battery to reset the BIOS and after reinstalling the battery all 16Gb was detected successfully.

You can use up to 16 GB (two 8 GB sticks) of DDR3L-1600 RAM. Crucial site shows some compatible RAM, guaranteed to work with your system.

Yes. Ideally, use a matched pair.
