Reballing chipset BGA
Hi guys,i own a dell inspiron 1564.Recently i faced a problem,my display did not turn on.I know that it is a problem with my fan that spoiled my graphic card.So i took it to a authorized service center the also stated the same.So i asked then to reball it and told them that i will get a fan by myself and change myself.First they said ok later they said that 'your display won't work unless you change the fan'.I dont really think so.So can any one of you tell me that cpu fan is really required for the display to turn on after reballing my system.
THANK YOU IN ANTICIPATION

Unless something else is wrong, the system will power up even with a faulty fan.

First, board-level repair is not a Dell-authorized procedure. Second, while the system will power up with a faulty fan, it won't run for long - it'll overheat rapidly (in fact that's probably what caused the mainboard failure in the first place). It's a bit like taking your car to a body shop to have the front-end damage repaired, but not fixing the faulty brakes that caused the crash in the first place.

First of all i want to thank you.I know that its because of the faulty fan.i dont want to change the fan there i want to change it by myself since i got one from online,it is yet to be delivered by amazon.Secondly,i am gonna use the pc only after replacing fan otherwise it will spoil my gpu again,i knew this.
MY QUESTION IS THAT 'A FAN IS REALLY REQUIRED FOR THE DISPLAY TO TURN ON AFTER REBALLING'.
THIS IS JUST CHECK IF MY PC IS WORKING OR NOT.I WONT LET IT BE ON FOR MORE THAN 30 SECONDS OR A MINUTE.
