Replace hard drive on Latitude E7450
I want to replace the existing hard drive (#ST500LX012-1LM162-SSHD) in my Latitude E7450 with a true SSD drive. I do not need a large drive (250GB is more than sufficient, maybe even smaller). What should I look for or what do you recommend?

Yes, that would work. Those Kingston drives are rather low end, but will still be faster than a hard disk drive.
Crucial has higher-performance longer-lasting drives. I can recommend their MX500 drives.
Follow the disassembly and reassembly steps in Dell's Owner's Manual.
Look on YouTube for videos showing disassembly of your model. But, be cautious with them, as some use steps or methods that are not appropriate. Use the videos to add to your understanding of what to do, but follow the steps in Dell's manual.
Whenever touching components or working inside a computer, wear a grounded wrist strap, also called anti-static wrist strap, ESD wrist strap, or ground bracelet. It's a cheap and sensible precaution. Rest the laptop on an anti-static mat or at least a reasonable alternative such as corrugated cardboard.

I think your laptop model will take both 9.5mm and 7mm drives.
I can check on Monday to make sure.
I would recommend a Lite-on "Now Samsung" drive.

NOTE:
Crucial drives are very compatible and reliable but I find them to be slow and expensive.
