Restart required to get full performance

I have Dell G15 ryzen edition rtx 3050. I am having this weird problem where I am getting reduced fps in games until I restart, then it is back to normal but if I quit playing for a while and again play then the problem again arise and is fixed by another restart.

I tested with Days Gone game(high preset), my fps was between 50 to 60 but after restart it's 80 to 90.

I have tried updating/clean installing graphics driver with DDU, disabled fast startup and even clean installed windows 11 and 10 after that but to no avail.

If someone faced similar issues please suggest some fix. Thanks

Sometimes Dell updates or SupportAssist may not be able to install BIOS and give you this error.

Since you didn't provide the model number.

Please go to

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us?app=products

Enter your service Tag > Drivers and Download > BIOS

Now open MSCONFIG > Services > Uncheck Dell updates. Reboot

Run the downloaded BIOS files it will install and reboot

Enable Dell updates again from MSCONFIG and open it, (a reboot may be required)

check for updates and it won't show that BIOS update any more.

Update on my problem

I noticed one thing that when I launch any game as soon as device boots up the fps are as expected and GPU clock speed stays at 1980 MHz stable during games. But if exit game and relaunch after 10 or 15 minutes then I get low fps and GPU speed is reduced too around 800 to 1000 MHz.

Also I recently found out that instead of restart if I unplug my system and plug it again the problem is gone until I exit the game again

Ps - I have all things updated including BIOS and my charger is charging as expected so don't know what could be the issue
