Revert to Windows 7
Hi
I upgraded to Windows 10 more than 2 weeks ago thinking that I could revert within 30 days if I was not happy with it. Unfortunately, the revert option is now 10 days.
I have a dell inspiron which came with windows 7 installed.
The laptop has slowed to a crawl.
I have a recovery media usb which I created when I got the laptop using dell data safe local backup
Would anyone know what is my best option?
I do not have a windows disk.
i originally had windows 7 home premium sp1
Thanks for your help.

I would consider performing a clean install of Windows 10, honestly. Going back to Windows 7 just isn't a viable long-term solution. Microsoft has stopped delivering security updates for it at this stage, and that's just not a safe situation for a PC connected to the Internet in this day and age. And if Windows XP's demise is any indication, browser vendors will stop providing updates for installations on Windows 7 before too long, which will make the security situation even worse. And eventually lack of browser updates will cause functional problems as websites adopt technologies that won't be supported by the latest browser version available for Windows 7. If you've ever tried to start browsing the Internet on a fresh Windows XP SP3 installation, it's basically impossible now. You can't even get to a website to download another browser because XP SP3's included IE version doesn't support some security standards that are widely used today, so it can't connect to sites via HTTPS, and many sites don't allow downloads or sometimes even regular browsing over regular HTTP anymore.
You can download Windows 10 directly from Microsoft here, then download and install Dell Update to handle getting drivers and firmware updates. You might want to capture a full system image of your current setup just so you have a way to roll back to what you have now in case things go wrong. Macrium Reflect Free is a popular tool for this purpose.

Have you tried to sort you why your notebook is running so slowly? are the issues of hardware or drivers? or just windows not working well. Are other people with your model successfully running Windows 10?
You can download an ISO for windows 10 from Media Creation Tool for Windows 7
