Service Tag has not been programmed — cannot boot system
Hi. Recently I got my laptop back from repairs. The problem I had earlier—the random turning off—persisted even after my laptop was shipped back, until said problem just stopped happening. So, I presumed the problem fixed and left it alone.
For the first time in a week, the laptop turned itself off again. This time, it took several tries to boot it up, and the fan processor would spin extremely loudly. When I finally got something to surface, the laptop was booting in manufacturer mode, and attempting to exit it causes the service tag error, in which the Service Tag installer is launched. Somehow, my laptop’s service tag has been erased and it’s now an “unidentified system,” and I can no longer open it normally.
With the multitude of errors I have gotten with this laptop since the day I got it, and lack of repairs on Dell’s part, I’m ready to accept it as a lost cause and take the route of negotiating with Dell Corporate for a replacement one. Is there anything else I can do?

Guess again if you think Dell is going to give you a replacement laptop. Not being harsh. It is the reality.
While under warranty, you would need to contact Dell again and send it in again for repair.

I have never seen anything like that.
Looks like you got back an improperly configured laptop.
You need to contact Dell.

I took pictures of what I see upon booting the system. I’ve been unable to find images similar to this on the Internet. Please feel free to delete if any of these contain information pertaining to Dell’s employees.

Only need to click on the Bios setup option and manually configure your service tag, you can see it in the identification label, you must write and save the correct number because it only allows one time modification
