Should I update the BIOS?
Got a pop up from Support Assist saying to update the system BIOS (Urgent).
I am running on a Dell Inspiron 5370 and am currently on BIOS 1.7.0 - it wants me to update to 1.7.1, thing is since I updated it a couple of weeks ago to 1.7.0 my PC has been crashing very occasionally and was thinking maybe the BIOS update has caused this? And after googling BIOS updates most sites tell me you should never update the BIOS unless there is a problem. Well mine is a brand new laptop, only had it for about a month so worried that upgrading to 1.7.1 will cause further problems... Can anyone help me please?

It could be a correction of the previous bios which is common when users report problems. Read the details on the download page to see why it has been released. I would install it.

On support Assist there are no details specifying why it was released, where else can I find them? Thanks
