SSD compatibility for Dell 7566
Hello, I am planning to buy an SSD for the pc, but i've seen people saying only 128 gb M.2 PCIe SSD's are compatible with a specific Dell laptop (it may be Dell 7559). My question is, will a M.2 PCIe 256 gb SSD (such as Corsair Force MP300 NVMe 240GB) work with this pc or only 256 gb SATA SSD's work with it?

Hello,
That model supports both sata and NVMe the only thing you should look out for is that you purchase an ssd with the correct key or it doesn't fit in your M2 socket.Regarding the limit problems i've only heared that some Samsung evo ssd's have problems with Dell laptops .

My pc's ssd slot only has 1 notch on its socket (so it is comprised of 2 pieces, one short, the other long). Here is the link of the ssd im considering buying with its picture.

This one has 2 notches. (so the whole piece is comprised of 3 sections)
Can you please explain the keys you mentioned? This is the first time i am buying an SSD.

Hello,
SSD's can have different keys some of them have a combined B+M key those fit in all motherboards .Your corsair ssd you linked i see no reason why it wouldn't work but since i can't look inside your laptop i would ask them then you're sure.

Thank you for the answer. As i said, my pc's M.2 slot is comprised of 2 connectors. The short part has 4 contacts (4 wires for 4 pins). The shortest edge of that corsair SSD seems to have 5 pins. I changed my mind and bought a WD Blue 3D WDS250G2B0B M.2 SATA SSD. But the shortest edge of its connector also seems to have 5 pins. Can there be any incompatibilities?
