SSD storage Dell G3
Hi!, I recently bought a dell gaming g3 laptop with 256 GB SSD + 1TB HDD. However, the C: drive shows 144 GB remaining out of 216GB and I have only installed vscode and python which hardly take up any storage. Do the system files and drivers normally take up this much storage or is there some problem that I need to fix ?

max2511,
Can you post a picture of the disk management console? To view the console right click on the start and choose disk management.

Welcome to the Dell Community @max2511
If you have a Dell factory install then you need to include things like Support Assist, SmartByte, Mobil Connect, Power Manager, Alienware-Digital-Delivery, PowerShell and many others.
Lets not forget the recovery partition!!!
A fresh W10 install takes up around 50GB with all the updates at this time.
Best regards,
U2
NOTE:
Make sure you set the DATA (D) drive to "Default Storage" as Dell does not do this from the factory.

I have been using the laptop for 1 month and the memory has reduced to 59.5 GB and my drive has vanished as in I am unable to access it. I only installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, R studio and Python IDE after my previous post. I do not understand how so much memory is being consumed
@DELL-Cares please advise
